A publication written by Hatch et al using data from the MRC National Survey of Health and Development has been cited in a report written by the British Academy.

The report is a collection of opinion pieces on health inequalities from leading social scientists, each of whom has identified one policy intervention that they think local authorities could introduce to improve the health of the local population and reduce health inequalities. The project has been led by a steering group of academic and policy experts and the foreword of the report written by Sir Michael Marmot. The report seeks to help local policymakers improve the health of their communities by presenting evidence from a wide range of social sciences.

The full report, executive summary and individual chapters are all available for download on the British Academy website here.
